Eigent v0.0.84 (Feb 2026) - Performance, UX polish, and better agent collaboration
A major release focused on speed, daily UX, and stronger multi-agent workflows

Eigent v0.0.84 is a major release focused on three things: speed, day-to-day UX, and stronger multi-agent workflows. This release should feel noticeably smoother in demanding workflows. As an open source Cowork desktop application and a powerful claude Cowork alternative, Eigent continues to evolve as a comprehensive solution for AI-assisted development and collaboration.

TL;DR - What's new
- New model support: MiniMax M2.5 and GLM-5 across all supported languages
- Richer rendering: Interactive
.html+ 3D rendering (rotation/zoom) with JavaScript enabled for most HTTPS origins - Better multi-agent sharing: Improved
list_note()discovery + shared file registration convention - Enterprise readiness: Built-in HTTP proxy setting + Python 3.11 upgrade
- Developer productivity: Open agent folders directly in VS Code / Cursor, plus a benchmark framework
- UX upgrades: Full onboarding redesign, improved model settings UI, better Windows native frame + theming
- Stability fixes: Reconnection duplicates, expired key loop, subtask persistence/sync, cookie manager + symlink upload
Models and core capabilities
MiniMax M2.5 + GLM-5 support (all languages)
Eigent now supports MiniMax M2.5 and GLM-5 across all supported languages. This expands your model and provider options without changing how you work day to day.
Interactive HTML + 3D rendering
You can now open and interact with .html content directly in Eigent, including 3D interactions like rotation and zoom. JavaScript is enabled for most HTTPS origins, making it much easier to preview interactive outputs, reports, and visual demos inside your workflow.
Cross-agent sharing improvements
Multi-agent collaboration gets a real boost:
- Improved
list_note()discovery so agents can find shared notes more reliably - A clearer shared file registration convention, reducing "where did that file go?" moments when multiple agents are producing artifacts
These improvements make Eigent's open source Cowork capabilities more robust, enabling seamless collaboration across multiple AI agents working on shared projects.
Enterprise and infrastructure
Built-in proxy support
You can now configure an HTTP proxy directly in the app:
Settings -> General -> Proxy
This makes deployment in enterprise networks and restricted environments dramatically less painful.
Python 3.11 upgrade
Eigent has moved to Python 3.11, enabling more modern typing, updated CI, and regenerated lockfiles. Expect improved compatibility with newer tooling and better long-term maintainability.
CAMEL v0.2.90a1 updates
CAMEL has been updated to v0.2.90a1, including:
- Plotly init environment improvements
- RAG toolkit integration
If you are building retrieval-heavy workflows, this release tightens that loop.
Developer experience
Open in IDE (Cursor / system file manager)
You can now open agent folders directly in:
- Cursor
- Your system file manager
This shortens the "agent produced something -> I need to inspect/edit it" cycle to basically one click.
Benchmark framework (basic agent performance testing)
A baseline benchmarking framework is now included to support basic agent performance testing. This is a foundation for reproducible evaluations and regression detection over time.
Refactors + pre-commit improvements
A set of under-the-hood improvements that make contributing easier:
- Cleaner module structure
- Formatting hooks
- Improved linting
- Generally smoother pre-commit experience
UI and platform improvements
Full onboarding redesign
Onboarding has been rebuilt end to end for a cleaner path through:
login -> install -> first tasks
This should reduce setup friction, especially for new contributors and first-time users. As a Cowork desktop application, Eigent prioritizes an intuitive setup experience that gets you productive quickly, whether you're switching from other tools or discovering AI-powered development for the first time.
Model settings overhaul
Model settings got a layout and UX refresh, including better organization and provider logo UX, making it easier to scan and configure providers quickly.
Native Windows experience
Windows users should see a more native feel with:
- Proper system frame
- Theme support
These enhancements strengthen Eigent's position as a fully-featured Cowork desktop solution, providing a polished native experience across all major platforms.
Dark mode fixes
Dark mode now has better visual consistency:
- Theme-aware logos
- Improved contrast and visibility
Stability and fixes
This release includes multiple reliability fixes that should reduce weird loops and state mismatches:
- Fixed duplicate task execution after reconnection
- Fixed expired model key loop
- Resolved subtask persistence and status sync
- Improved cookie manager robustness
- Fixed symlink upload edge cases
Upgrade notes (quick checklist)
- If you pin Python versions or use custom CI: confirm Python 3.11 support in your environment.
- If you are in a corporate network: configure proxy via
Settings -> General -> Proxy. - If you run multi-agent workflows: consider adopting the shared file registration convention across your team to keep artifacts discoverable.
Thanks
Huge thanks to everyone who contributed code, bug reports, and feedback. This release is the result of a lot of small improvements that add up to a noticeably better daily experience. Whether you're looking for a claude Cowork alternative or exploring open source Cowork solutions, Eigent v0.0.84 delivers a robust, performant platform for AI-assisted development.
