Find Sustainable Packaging Suppliers — Without Hours of Research

Sourcing eco-friendly packaging is one of the first operational challenges D2C brands face when they commit to going sustainable. The options are fragmented across Alibaba, IndiaMART, regional directories, and individual supplier websites — each with different MOQs, lead times, pricing structures, and certifications. Compiling a useful shortlist by hand takes days.

1Define Your Requirements

The more context you give Eigent, the more relevant the shortlist will be. Here's the prompt used in this workflow:

Research global B2B suppliers that provide biodegradable or recyclable product packaging for D2C brands. Search Alibaba, IndiaMART, and others. Create a shortlist of top vendors with minimum order quantities, lead times, pricing, and contact links. Save it as a nicely formatted HTML page. When it's done, send an alert to my Slack channel #eigent-product-test.

You can refine this further with specific product types (mailers, boxes, pouches), certifications (FSC, compostable), or target price range.

2Connect Slack (If Not Already Set Up)

This workflow ends with a Slack notification, so make sure your Slack connector is active in Eigent's settings. Go to Settings → Connectors → Slack and authorize your workspace. Once connected, Eigent can send messages to any channel you have access to.

3Eigent Searches Supplier Platforms

Eigent's browser agent opens Alibaba, IndiaMART, and other relevant platforms to search for biodegradable and recyclable packaging suppliers. It evaluates each result for product range and materials (kraft paper, bioplastic, recycled cardboard), minimum order quantities, lead times, pricing tiers, and supplier ratings. The agent works across multiple platforms in parallel to save time.

4Shortlist and HTML Report Generation

From the raw search results, Eigent selects the top vendors and formats them into a clean HTML page. The page includes a comparison table with all key fields, direct links to each supplier's listing or website, and contact information where available. The HTML file is saved locally and the link is included in the Slack notification.

5Slack Notification

When the task completes, Eigent sends a message to your specified Slack channel with a summary of what was found and a link to the full HTML report. Your team gets notified automatically — no need to follow up or forward anything manually.

Vendor research is exactly the kind of task that feels like it should be quick but routinely stretches into hours of tab-switching. Eigent collapses that into a single prompt. 8Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific about product type. "Biodegradable packaging" is broad. "Kraft paper mailers for apparel, 6x9 and 9x12 inches" gets you suppliers who actually match your use case.

  • Mention your target region. Shipping lead times from Asia vs. Europe vs. North America vary significantly. Specify if this matters for your sourcing decision.

  • Ask for contact links. Eigent can often surface direct email addresses or contact forms from supplier pages — useful for shortcutting the inquiry process entirely.
